Progress toward my goal weight

Ok so I am sure whomever is reading my blog is sick and tired of reading about fitness, but hey bear with me its about the only thing I have going on since I finished my masters degree last month. The sutff I do at work is pretty boring to the mainstream and due to operational security shouldn't be discussed. So here we are back at fitness.
My friend Manny wrote me a work out plan that is 6 weeks long and Monday will be my 4th week. The plan focuses on light weight sets 15 reps and 4-5 sets and changes week to week so your muscles can not get used to the workout. It was a struggle at first but feels great at this point. It is very focused on 1-2 body areas per day and a cardio interval training right after the weights and abs. I do cardio every day and sometimes twice per day. I don't typically take the weekend off. I have been using this website to keep track of fitness and food: http://www.livestrong.com/ I have been tracking my weight and here is the results:
You might notice I started tracking at 210 lbs, I was pretty disgusted that I got over here and was 215 so I never tracked it on livestrong. This morning I was 192lbs. If you look at my progress you may think I am losing too fast, but I have been tracking everything that goes in and I try to eat 1,200-1,500 calories per day. I try and stay away from red meat and eat a lot of fish and chicken. I also use Gold Standard Whey protein to provide snacks and in place of meals. I eat a lot of raw almonds and cliff bars. My goal weight in somewhere in the 180's and really depends on how I look and feel. I don't want to be skinny, I want to be fit and well toned. I have never had an issue building chest, shoulders, and legs, but the abs kill me! so I dedicate 20-25 minutes per day to hitting my abs. I also limit the amount of fat in my diet so I can cut out excess fat on me and in the foods I eat. It helps a lot that I can't drink beer over here and will have to adjust my life style when I return to ensure that I keep what I have worked so hard for.

So this is me a couple of days ago and I will continue to post as I go along. I am looking forward to the weather warming up so I can hang out at the pool and get some color back on this carcass before I head home on leave in May. Later,
Jeremy
