Progress toward my goal weight

Ok so I am sure whomever is reading my blog is sick and tired of reading about fitness, but hey bear with me its about the only thing I have going on since I finished my masters degree last month. The sutff I do at work is pretty boring to the mainstream and due to operational security shouldn't be discussed. So here we are back at fitness.
My friend Manny wrote me a work out plan that is 6 weeks long and Monday will be my 4th week. The plan focuses on light weight sets 15 reps and 4-5 sets and changes week to week so your muscles can not get used to the workout. It was a struggle at first but feels great at this point. It is very focused on 1-2 body areas per day and a cardio interval training right after the weights and abs. I do cardio every day and sometimes twice per day. I don't typically take the weekend off. I have been using this website to keep track of fitness and food: http://www.livestrong.com/ I have been tracking my weight and here is the results:
You might notice I started tracking at 210 lbs, I was pretty disgusted that I got over here and was 215 so I never tracked it on livestrong. This morning I was 192lbs. If you look at my progress you may think I am losing too fast, but I have been tracking everything that goes in and I try to eat 1,200-1,500 calories per day. I try and stay away from red meat and eat a lot of fish and chicken. I also use Gold Standard Whey protein to provide snacks and in place of meals. I eat a lot of raw almonds and cliff bars. My goal weight in somewhere in the 180's and really depends on how I look and feel. I don't want to be skinny, I want to be fit and well toned. I have never had an issue building chest, shoulders, and legs, but the abs kill me! so I dedicate 20-25 minutes per day to hitting my abs. I also limit the amount of fat in my diet so I can cut out excess fat on me and in the foods I eat. It helps a lot that I can't drink beer over here and will have to adjust my life style when I return to ensure that I keep what I have worked so hard for.

So this is me a couple of days ago and I will continue to post as I go along. I am looking forward to the weather warming up so I can hang out at the pool and get some color back on this carcass before I head home on leave in May. Later,
Jeremy

Flintstone Village and Victory Palace

So today I was crusing around Camp Slayer and ran across the Flintsone village that Saddam had built for his grand kids. The place has a lot of graffity but you can check it out. I also added a couple pictures of the palace that was not complete prior to the war kicking off in 2003.

Here is the Victory over America Palace:

Superbowl Sunday or Monday for me!

So here we are on superbowl sunday! We are all meeting tonight at midnight for the pregame over at the dining facility where they will provide us with 2 beers each. It's not much but it sure will be nice. I have had a great couple of weeks with my diet and exercise. I am using 215 as my starting weight and I am down to 194 as of Saturday the 5th. My goal weight is around 180 depending on how I look. I do a lot of low weight, high rep, abs, and interval cardio on the treadmill.
Jackson had his 7th birthday this week and Jessica put together a wonderful party at the bowling alley for his friends. Jessica always makes every birthday a very special affair and the kids love it. She is such a great mommy and a super wife taking care of the kids and me from a far.

Here is my wonderful wife and partner in crime! She is keeping everything running at home and does awesome at all the task. I miss being able to help her and I miss her and the kids very very much. We pass each day talking and staying in touch on the phone and internet. She is losing weight and looking extremly beautiful, though she has always been extremly beautiful regardless.

Today I enjoyed the Sunday Stars and Stripes, a near beer, and a great Montecristo cuban cigar. It was very smooth and tasty. I also clicked a couple of pictures of the sunset tonight so enjoy it! and until next time take care.

See ya later....Jeremy
